About

Hi!

Illustrating is my passion, I live and breathe it. I’m always scribbling away, bringing my imagination to life through a spontaneous use of line.

Upon graduation of my BA at the University of Salford I was acknowledged by the Association Of Illustrators in their Top 10 Upcoming Image Makers, in Varoom Issue 36.

Although this was quite a feat I still felt as though my illustrative work had more to explore so I pursued an MA at Manchester School of Art. This experience developed the authentic voice of my work based around the gritty realism of everyday life.

Since my educational endeavours I have provided editorial illustrations for the likes of BBC History Magazine and OKIDO.

I am now working on my first picture book, 'The Library Book' written by Gabby Dawnay which will be published by Thames & Hudson in 2021.

Feel free to get in touch with me if you have a suitable project in mind. Or simply would like to discuss an idea. You can do that either by clicking here or emailing ian@ianmorrisillustration.com

Enjoy my work!
